Introduction
The Windvent (from Midtherm Engineering) is a natural ventilation system that functions via roof-mounted terminals which capture clean and exchange warm, stale air for fresh and natural air using a carefully manufactured louvre venting system relying on different air pressure to facilitate the air exchanges. There are internal dampers which can regulate airflow and are managed through an integrated low voltage electrical motor controller system.
The WindVent systems come as Natural (NV) or as a Passive Stack option
With the advent of sustainable technologies being integrated into the fabrication of new public and private buildings, it makes sense to harness natural wind activity to provide fresh and non-conditioned air into employee or customer-facing areas where health and noise considerations need to be borne in mind.
